About Me
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Mellisa Moss, and I am therapist who believes in real conversations, gentle honesty, and helping you reconnect with your sense of self.
I work with teens, young adults, and professionals, especially Black women and girls, who are ready to break free from self-doubt, old narratives, and intergenerational patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to help you see yourself clearly, trust your inner voice, and take up space with confidence.
Before private practice, I spent years working in community mental health and school settings, supporting youth and families through life’s toughest moments. I’ve mediated difficult conversations, helped parents and teens rebuild trust, and guided people toward seeing things, and themselves, from a new perspective. That work shaped how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, collaborative, and committed to helping you grow.
My style is warm but direct. I’ll hold space for your story, but I’ll also challenge the patterns that might be holding you back. Together, we’ll build your self-esteem, make room for hope, and create lasting change that supports your evolution — not just short-term relief.
Working with me means having a partner who will walk alongside you as you learn to trust yourself again and make choices that reflect the life you want to build.
I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you as you learn what’s possible.
