Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll want to learn more about you, what’s been going on in your life, and what brings you to therapy at this point. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and you’ll have space to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is an important part of the work, and that trust develops over time. I encourage giving ourselves a few sessions to see how we connect and whether working together feels like a good fit.
-
I usually start with weekly sessions to help build trust and consistency. Over time, we may shift to biweekly or monthly meetings, depending on your progress and needs. We’ll decide together what cadence feels most supportive
-
Our first session will be up to 60 minutes, giving us time to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and begin getting to know one another. Ongoing sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. We'll work together to determine a session length and frequency that best support your needs, with room to make adjustments as our work evolves.

Because I am licensed in Massachusetts, I’m only able to provide telehealth sessions when you are physically located within Massachusetts at the time of our appointment. Licensing laws are based on the client’s location during the session, not your permanent residence.
If you plan to travel, you’re welcome to resume sessions once you’re back in the state. For extended travel, we can also plan ahead together to discuss scheduling options or referrals if needed.
